Save the Children

Right now Save the Children is working in the Sayaboury district in Laos. In this area, many children do not attend school, as they need to help their families find food. Save the Children is working with these communities to bring schools closer to those who need them - providing safe school buildings, village education plans, teacher training and extra-curricular activities, as well as providing school vegetable gardens to improve food security.
Care Australia

Russaifeh, a town next to a Palestinian refugee camp is considered to be one of the poorest places in Jordan. Many of the women living are trying to create small businesses in order to survive – but have limited access to credit and business counselling. The women are also seen as a loan risk so when they try to obtain credit high interest rates are charged. By giving to Care Australia, your funds will support the Business Counselling services in Russaifeh, setting up Savings & Loan programs so these women can provide a living for themselves and their families.
Starlight Foundation

The Starlight Children's Foundation brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families when they need it most through the delivery of innovative programs, including Starlight Express Rooms, Starlight Express Vans, Starlight Fun Centres, Starlight Escapes and Starlight Wishgranting. Starlight delivers programs designed to make children happy and lift their spirits when they need it most, bringing fun and laughter to children no matter what their illness or where they live.
The Fred Hollows Foundation

For as little as $25, sight can be restored to people suffering from cataract blindness in some developing world countries. The Fred Hollows Foundation currently works in over 13 countries around the world. Your accumulated donation over one year could give hundreds of people the gift of sight, restoring their dignity and their independence.
