These solutions include data capture platforms provided by leading technology providers such as Kofax and Top Image Systems, as well as our own tracking, scanning, and data capture platform, ScanDocs. Salmat has a wide array of capture equipment, from small handheld barcode scanners used for tracking and check-in of documents, through to all types of production scanners: flatbed, fast rotary-based scanners, colour scanners, and wide-format scanners. We have data capture facilities around Australia and can provide secure offshore services through our operation in the Philippines.
The Salmat system is completely configurable in relation to the capture of metadata. Salmat uses leading software and equipment to ensure that manual data capture is kept to a minimum. This is an important and distinguishing feature of the Salmat service. Techniques such as multiple OCR engines, voting, and image cleansing are used to keep the cost of capture to a minimum for our clients. Intelligent data interrogation assists in locating any poor quality capture, and when combined with multiple pass data capture techniques, only the very highest quality data is provided to our clients.
